Behind the saas

(Financial Director)

Megan
casey

“The one keeping us out of financial ruin (and somehow still making it rain)"
Megs is nothing short of a unicorn in every aspect, she is also a full-time reminder that creativity still needs a budget and the reason our chaos has structure, our invoices get paid, and our lights stay on. She hasn’t written her bio yet, probably because she’s too busy balancing the finances and the egos — not to mention being the person who makes sure everyone gets a little extra in their pocket come profit-share time.

When her bio finally lands, we expect it to be perfectly formatted, fiscally flawless, and right on deadline (give or take a month-end).

Team
(Managing Director)

andre
de lacerda

“Currently avoiding writing his own bio.”

Andre is Malkoppi’s fearless (and occasionally elusive) Managing Director — the captain of this creative circus and the reason the rest of us have deadlines. He’s the brains behind the big ideas, the boss of the brainstorms, and the one who keeps saying “I’ll send my bio this week.”

Rumour has it he’s too busy leading the next great pitch, charming clients, or fine-tuning something “visionary.” Until we get his official version, just know this: if it’s bold, strategic, and slightly over-caffeinated — Andre probably had something to do with it.

Team
(Creative Director)

tash
casey

Part strategist, part storyteller, full-time chaos curator. She turns brand headaches into headline moments and believes good ideas should earn their keep.

If she were hosting aliens on a world tour, she’d take them straight to the Wild Coast — for some old school Earthing, somewhere between the dirt and the divine.

Her dream client? The one who knows what they want, because clarity is the sexiest brief.

Team
(Social & Brand Strategist - Legally)

Tsatsawani
baloi

Tsatsi (ask before you call her that) once had her sights set on a courtroom, but communications called louder, and she’s been hooked on the art of brand storytelling ever since. She thrives on all things social — from crafting campaigns to decoding data — and has an instinct for making brands feel human. Her signature style? Smart, witty, and always a step ahead of the algorithm.

If aliens landed tomorrow, she’d take them to Italy for brunch and espresso — because even extraterrestrials deserve good coffee and conversation.

Dream clients - Spotify because that music catalogue deserves a standing ovation. Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream because he’s built a brand that’s fun, original and unapologetically authentic.

Team
(Senior Designer)

Alecia
koekamoer

Our senior designer who can take any “ek weet nie wat ek wil hê nie” brief and turn it into a post you’d flex on Instagram. She thinks in colour (mostly pink), dreams in fonts, and throws shadow with serious attitude. When she’s not fine-tuning pixels, she’s plotting where to take her alien tour group: Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day if they’re lekker (she REALLY wants to see a drunk alien!), or the Danakil Desert if they’re dodgy. Survival of the aesthetic, as she calls it.

Dream client - Designing for “Liefde by die Dam” with backstage access to Francois van Coke (her hall pass #sorryThini). But she’ll happily switch from festival fever to a Woolies calm — she’s bilingual in brand worlds.

(Queen of Admin)

Carol
dunckley

Carol is the quiet engine that keeps Malkoppi running. With years of experience and a sparkle that refuses to fade, she keeps the books balanced, the invoices paid, and the chaos in check — all while sipping her tea and keeping an eye on the details no one else even notices.

If aliens landed tomorrow, she’d take them straight to the top of Table Mountain — because perspective, like balance sheets, changes everything when you look from above.

Her dream client? Someone grounded, organised, and kind — the kind who believes collaboration works better than chaos and that good manners are still a superpower.

(Traffic Co-ordinator)

Kerry
botes

Kerry manages the flow of Malkoppi's projects between clients, creatives, and production — ensuring deadlines are met, communication stays clear, and delivery runs (mostly) without a hitch. With equal parts diplomat and therapist she creates the space for great work to happen 'smoothly' and efficiently.

If tasked with guiding visiting aliens, she’d take them to a rugby match — a crash course in teamwork, emotion, beer and humanity.

Dream client? The unicorn who trusts the process and doesn’t discover “just one more tiny change” three weeks later. Bliss.

Team
(Marketing and Account Lead)

myles
camble

Myles brings a unique blend of strategy, creativity, and high-energy execution to every Malkoppi project. A digital native with a passion for content and storytelling, he leads campaigns that connect deeply with audiences while delivering measurable results. From brand launches to multi-platform paid media campaigns, Myles ensures every element aligns — translating client objectives into clear, impactful action.

If he were hosting aliens on Earth, he’d take them to the Cradle of Humankind — to show them where it all began. His ideal collaborators?

Brands that live boldly — GoPro, Red Bull, Cercle — those redefining what creativity can do when it meets courage.

(Marketing and Creative Developer)

John-Patrick
dunckley

Malkoppi’s Marketing Developer, John-Patrick, lives somewhere between innovation and obsession. He’s the kind of person who sees a working website and still thinks, “yeah, but what if it could load 0.2 seconds faster?” Equal parts tech wizard and creative mind, he leads web development, SEO, social performance, and the automations that keep the whole engine humming.

If aliens ever landed, he’d take them straight to the Big Hole in Kimberley — because what better way to explain humanity than with a story about digging deep (literally and metaphorically)?

His dream client? Ferrari. It’s more than admiration — it’s legacy. A love passed down from his father that fuels his drive for precision, power, and storytelling that moves as fast as the cars themselves.

(Illustration Fairy and Designer)

Zainab
Aboo

Zainab brings both discipline and imagination to the Malkoppi team. With a deep understanding of print and digital design, she navigates the realms of CMYK, RGB, and the occasional rogue hex code with ease — ensuring every piece lands with precision and polish. Her foundation in DTP and production gives her an edge that few possess: she knows how to make beautiful ideas print perfectly. Setting up bleed lines, colour calibrations, and trim markers? For Zainab, that’s the design equivalent of a perfectly steeped cup of tea.

If she were guiding visiting aliens, she’d take them on a whirlwind tour of Earth’s wonders — from the pyramids of Egypt to Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer — just to remind them (and us) how much beauty there is to see.

Her dream client? One who values the art of good design.

(Studio Maintenance)

mama
olga

Mama Olga is the heartbeat of the studio on moody Monday mornings, she is our studio cleaning tech, tea whisperer, and resident bringer of good energy. She’s the last to arrive, the first to leave, and the reason everything (and everyone) in the studio feels at home, grounded, and looked after. Armed with a broom in one hand and wisdom in the other, Mama Olga keeps the creative chaos in check, restoring order one spotless surface at a time. She believes a clean space is a clear mind — and around here, that’s pure creative currency.

If aliens ever visited, she’d take them to Soweto on a Sunday — to show them rhythm, resilience, and real kasi joy.

Her dream client? The Malkoppi crew of course.

(Garden and Grounds Keeper)

Patrick Zilute Ngulube

Patrick is Malkoppi’s master of the outdoors the gardener and groundskeeper. While the rest of the team works in pixels and deadlines, Patrick works in sun, soil, and rhythm keeping the studio’s surroundings alive, balanced, and quietly beautiful. He has an instinct for growth — pruning what doesn’t serve, nurturing what does, and reminding everyone that good things take time (and water).

If aliens landed, he’d take them home to Malawi — to show them the warmth, generosity, and quiet magic of his homeland. Because true hospitality, he says, is a universal language.

His dream client? Mother Nature herself — though she’s been known to move deadlines around when the rain’s not playing along.
